As part of its happiness activities, the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) has organized a number of internal activities for its staff at its main headquarters in Abu Dhabi and two branches of Al Ain and Al Dhafra. The activities aimed at creating a positive work environment that helps its employees to be creative and encourage them to develop their performance.
The activities included a special event on the International Happiness Day, which is being celebrated on the 20th of March of each year. Moreover, the authority has organized a happiness carnival, in which spaces for a number of restaurants and coffee carts were allocated in front of the main building. In addition, a number of recreational activities were held for employees, and souvenirs and sweets were given to customers in ADFCA's customer service centers.
In cooperation with the General Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, and Abu Dhabi Health Services Company, ADFCA further organized medical, cultural and awareness programs. These activities included a lecture on the rights of pedestrians, another lecture on colon cancer early detection, a lecture on cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first-aid, and a competition on the Reading Day themed "An Hour for Reading".
